In Project Zomboid B42, revamped combat makes early farming of digital watches from zombies difficult. To level Electrical fast, prioritize dismantling large electronics like TV’s and Computers instead.
You still need Electrical 1 and Mechanics 2 to hotwire cars.

Before you touch a single screwdriver, you’ll first want to read Electrical 1 book.
You need 75xp for level 1 Electrical. Dismantling small items like digital watches (req. screwdriver) gives 0.5xp (1.5xp with book). That’s 150 watches (or 50 with book).
Whilst small items are still good for supplementing your electrical xp it’s best to take apart large electronics like Industrial Ovens and Televisions. Or better yet find an office with a bunch of computers to take apart.
