The Ultraman Rift (Earth Crevice) is available from 24 July to 7 August.

It forms a part of the Ragnarok M X Ultraman Crossover event and is the main way to obtain more Ultraman’s Cosmic Breath. Let’s take a quick look at what this event involves and tips on how you can get more rewards.

The Ultraman Rift is separate from your Time Rift. You will still receive your daily 5x Time Rift rewards upon completion.

How to Start the Rift

To start the rift speak to Ultraman Zero in the middle of Prontera. You will find him together with the other Ultraman characters next to the Prontera Guild Banners.

The Rewards

1. One Time Rank Rewards

These one time rewards can be earned by reaching specific kill counts within the Ultraman Rift.

  • Slay 30 to 59 monsters within the time limit, and you will receive the title of Planetary Patroller with 1 Garrison Candidate Supply Pack as the reward.
  • Slay 60 to 89 monsters within the time limit, and you will receive the title of Stellar Inspector with 2 Garrison Candidate Supply Pack as the reward.
  • Slay 90 to 119 monsters within the time limit, and you will receive the title of Alien Observer with 2 Active Garrison Supply Pack as the reward.
  • Slay more than 120 monsters within the time limit, and you will receive the title of Nebula Commander with 3 Active Garrison Supply Pack as the reward.

Didn’t do so well? Don’t worry, during the event period you can have as many tries as you need.

Don’t forget to collect your reward
Earned your rank? Don’t forget to collect your Garrison Supply Packs from Ultraman Zero in Prontera. If you managed to slay 120 monsters you will be able to open these packs for a total of 650 Ultraman’s Cosmic Breath.

3. Have Alts?

Both the one time rank reward and daily rewards are character based. Therefore if you have alt characters you can receive more rewards for completion.

Ultraman’s Cosmic Breath can be deposited into your shared storage for easy transfer between characters.

Tips for More Kills

Hopefully you don’t get a leaver …

Tip #1: Use Buffs to Deal More Damage
In the rift all players will transform into Ultraman and deal 111,111 damage to the monsters. However buffs can be used to do 2x damage to specific monsters.

You will pick up buffs as you kill monsters. These buffs will appear in the bottom right hand of your screen next to your attack skill (See Above). Activate the buff you want by tapping on its icon.

To get more kills it is therefore important to make use of your buffs correctly. In essence you will want to target specific monsters depending on your active buff.

Tip #2: Don’t Follow, Spread Out
You will want to avoid following in this rift. Spread out. This will ensure that you aren’t fighting over buffs. Additionally this will help your team get more out of the buffs. You wouldn’t want your team members cannibalizing your monsters when they could be attacking another.

Tip #3: Not Familiar with Monsters, Here’s an Alternative
Not familiar with the buff icons and the monsters? Here’s something else you can do to help target the right thing. First activate any buff. Your player will display the name of a monster upon activation. Use this hint to select the correct monster to attack (You can target monsters with your auto attack button just like usual).

Tip #4: Save Your Buffs
The Ultraman Rift has multiple rounds. If you don’t see monsters relevant to your buff in your area, save that buff for the next round.

Tip #5: Use Manual Attack
Spam the manual “punch” attack to help prevent flinching. You may have seen other players, or even do this yourself during MVP fights. It works the same way.
