In Genshin Impact the Cryo Regisvine’s weak point is its head but players should first use fire attacks to destroy its shield first attacking this weakness.
The first thing to look out for is its shield (indicated by a small blue hp bar). Break its shield with Pyro dmg so that you aren’t dealing reduced damage to the boss.
The shield can appear in two locations:
- The Core at the base of the monster
- The head
Whilst a melee character like Xiangling is good at breaking the base core. Its head will be out of range (except during the headbutt attack).
Having a character like Amber will allow you to hit its head even when the monster is upright.
Once the shield is broken go ahead and deal your damage.
Alright now lets look at the attacks to watch out for:
1. The Beam
The beam will sweep the entire arena. To evade you will want to dash into the beam as it swings around.
2. Duel Beams
Two beams will fire and cross each other. Keep your distance, otherwise get ready to dash evade.
3. Sweep Attack
The Cryo Regisvine will spin and sweep the floor. The AoE is pretty small so just keep your distance.
4. The Headbutt
This one comes in two forms.
- Single Headbutt – Just keep your distance.
- Triple Headbutt (sends shockwaves of ice) – Dash away from its direct line of sight.
If the head shield is up this is the opportunity to break it. After evading the headbutt attack you can apply pyro to the shield.
Tip: Characters like Diluc and Klee are better at this as they can readily apply pyro.
These ice crystals will track your character. Dash towards the Cryo Regisvine as they swing around to your character.
6. Final Attack
Once the Cryo Regisvine is low it has one more attack. Small circles of frost will appear near your character.
The best way to survive it is to keep moving erratically. Don’t walk in a straight line. Instead mix in in rapid changes in movement in all directions.
At the same time get ready to dash if you feel you aren’t able to walk out of the attack zone.
The Pyro Regisvine is very similar with a few different attacks.
